The Position

The role heads up the HR function for London and international. There is a small HR team of 5 in total including the head of HR role. The individual is responsible for providing an HR service to the employees of London and International in partnership with the wider HR team based in Moscow. The role will formally hold the SMF18 responsibility for reward and training, (prescribed responsibility 24 and 25). We offer a competitive salary.

Principal Responsibilities

Strategy / Governance / Policy

  • Work closely with business line management to develop business plans and resulting headcount requirements

  • Work with business line to ensure managers and employees adhere to global policies and procedures

  • Ensure accurate headcount reporting for business clients

  • Ensure compliance with HCMC process timelines and accuracy of data of applicant details

  • Provide support and advice throughout the year-end-cycle to the business client

  • Implement global HR and CIB HR strategy

  • Manage people risk and risk culture of the organization

Leadership / Management

  • Develop HR team members to ensure objectives are set and aligned to the People Strategy, and priorities set by the Global Head of HR and Global Head of Advisory

  • Manage ad-hoc issues to resolution as and when they arise

  • Become a trusted adviser to CEO’s of London and Frankfurt

  • Undertake UK SMR responsibilities

  • Demonstrate independence and mind and thought on HR and management matters

  • Maintain HR professional standards

  • Culture carrier for the organisation

Client / Employee Relations

  • Manage relationship with business client base

  • Coach/counsel managers on employment practices, employment law

  • Support business client base on resource planning and costs

  • Execute staffing plans with line managers

  • Manage relationship and negotiate terms with recruitment agencies

  • Ensure recruitment terms and conditions are adhered to

  • Counsel employees in relation to career development and/or transfers when appropriate

  • Responsible for answering speculative enquiries within client group

  • Manage HR within the companies risk culture framework.

Functional / Process Group

  • Work closely with HR Operations to ensure processes and procedures are up to date and locally legally and regulatory complaint

  • Participate and contribute to HR projects as and when they arise

  • Work closely with relevant HR sub-functions to ensure year-end-cycle process guidelines and processes are fit for purpose

  • Manage the recruitment process end to end

  • Ensure that the appropriate background screening process is followed

  • Ensure successful applicant on-boarding is complete and correct per local processes

  • Oversee all processes to ensure legally and regulatory compliant and being followed

  • Able to create documents and operate across the HR spectrum

Skills

  • Proven track record as a Senior HR Business partner/Head of HR of similar size company

  • Able to work independently on a range of activities at one time and coach less experienced team members

  • Able to priorities and establish deadlines to ensure that client needs are met

  • Able to contribute individually and as a member of the team

  • Self motivated, able to work to tight deadlines

  • Flexible team player

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Excellent follow-up, organization and time management skills

  • Previous experience within Financial Services industry preferred

  • Knowledge of relevant employment law and local working practices

  • Able to work from the strategic level down to physically preparing documents and operationally running the department

  • Determination and drive to complete tasks and use initiative to improve processes

  • CIPD qualified or working towards qualification

  • Proficient in the use of MS products including MS Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook

  • Bi-lingual in English and Russian
