The overall purpose of this job is to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the company transport function, in line with company aims, goals and targets.

Working in partnership with colleagues, a range of external customers and agencies, you will be responsible for effectively planning, organising and overseeing all aspects of transport operations and logistics. Ensuring the smooth, efficient, cost effective running of all operations - continuously working towards highest standards of service.

The Person

Work in collaboration with colleagues in the Export team and those in other departments in a supportive, co-operative and result focused way
Communicate/ liaise daily with a wide range of clients, customers, transport/shipping companies and suppliers. In English / Russian, as necessary, using a range of medium in writing, on the phone and in meetings.
Monitor stock on a regular basis and update databases - set up any necessary spreadsheets to enhance monitoring and analysis of transport function
Use information findings from spread sheets and databases to check and maintain stock and quality control systems, review and improve systems, practices and plans.
Track and monitor transport and logistical systems to ensure operations are running smoothly, speedily, efficiency and to a high standard
Ensure all transport records are sufficiently detailed and clearly recorded
Provide remote logistical support outside of office hours if required
