The candidates should be qualified or en route to becoming qualified (which includes having obtained an accredited English law degree from a leading university), and will include solicitors and trainee solicitors of genuinely excellent academic background who are fluent to legal professional level in Russian or Mandarin as well as English.
The work they will be required to do will be to engage fully, with appropriate supervision and training, in all aspects of litigation and related legal work at the highest level, including high level legal research at the cutting edge of the law, drawing up marital and other contracts, reviewing commercial contracts, settlement and related agreements and other legal documents, undertaking legal business on behalf of clients, instructing Counsel in higher and lower courts, pleading or advocating cases in lower courts as appropriate, scrutinising and drafting statements/affidavits and other legal documents, and preparing reports for Court and external/internal experts, all both in English and in their specialist language.

The skills and experience required are:
excellent academic background - to include top English law degree;
either qualified or en route to qualifying;
knowledge of international legal practice and an ability to develop the international work at the firm on its Russia or Asia Pacific desk;
Fluent (to legal professional level) in either Russian or Mandarin; and
an ability to deal with an international client base, particularly with Russian or Asia- Pacific clients.
