SWIFT - Business Consultant / Analyst

SWIFT provides a range of on-site business and technical supporting infrastructure consultancy services across SWIFT's customer base. These consultancy engagements aim at helping our customers to improve their operational efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate operational risk.
Starting your career at SWIFT, you will specialize in compliance services, working with the SWIFT team of experts. SWIFT Financial Crime Compliance focus on financial crime prevention, specialized in sanctions, AML and Know Your Customer (KYC).

Join the Business Services team of consultants and training instructors, with the potential and ambition to become senior consultant. We are looking for people with a unique blend of business acumen, project management as well as technical and analytical skills to help our customers succeed and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Initially the role will involve managing on-boarding of new customers to our cloud based sanctions testing services. In future, the opportunities include working on a variety of projects, including proofs of concept, tuning and system assessment projects, amongst others. You’ll need a can-do attitude, and an ability to visualize and solve problems.
Client facing experience and the ability to build relationships and trust with our clients and partners is critical to the continued success and growth of our consulting services. Projects will be at the largest financial organizations in the whole EMEA region, and the role will involve travel both within the UK and internationally.


The ideal candidate requires:

  • 3 years or more experience working for a software company as a professional services consultant (or similar role)

  • Experience working on projects at large financial institutions

  • Strong client facing skills, presenting and training technical and non-technical people

  • Demonstrated technical and problem solving skills through programming, scripting or similar

  • Strong skills in data file processing, data analysis or business intelligence

  • Experience of MS Office and Windows, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Willingness to travel, including within Europe, Middle East and Africa

  • SharePoint experience

  • Knowledge of financial crime, sanctions or AML

  • Been educated to degree level (preferably Computer Science, Math’s or related)

  • French/German or other European language, other languages e.g. Russian/Chinese
