Sotheby’s - Junior Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Junior Marketing Manager to join us at our London office. You’ll work alongside the Senior Marketing Manager to optimise the company’s marketing activities and drive new initiatives across the Regional business. This includes Sculpture, Furniture & Decorative Art, Contemporary African, Chinese, Russian, Middle Eastern and South Asian Art. You will work on cross-functional teams to coordinate the execution of collateral, digital campaigns, exhibition design, partnerships and live events. Key partners will include the Specialist Departments, E-Commerce and Press, as well as with other marketing functions such as Special Events, Editorial, Global Partnerships and Design & Creative Services.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of the 360° multi-platform marketing programmes for sales to elevate awareness, reinforce luxury positioning, drive new client acquisition and further engage the existing client base

  • Drive the execution of all multi-platform consignment getting campaigns, working closely with the Specialist Departments to coordinate and optimise all sweeps initiatives

  • Create and maintain on-going competitive analysis, identifying key trends, auction exhibition, advertising, email, events and messaging

  • Assist with execution of all paid/unpaid media initiatives – print, digital, email, video, messaging, social – from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met, and budgets are adhered to

  • Cross promote initiatives, helping to ensure brand foot print is seamless across exhibition, collateral and CRM

  • Liaise with Business Intelligence team and channel managers in order to provide the Senior Marketing Manager with KPIs and metrics, supporting daily reporting and post campaign analysis

  • Brief internal design team on marketing elements requiring design, such as advertising, collateral, and exhibition assets

  • Oversee the local execution and strategic promotion of all travelling exhibitions

  • Partner with Web Producers, Editorial and Specialist Departments to develop all landing pages on sothebys.com, ensuring global priorities (star lots and sales) are always highlighted as needed

  • Drive the administration and coordination for all procurement processes, including invoice and purchase order processing, vendor set-up and payment, and monthly reconciliation

  • Coordinate strategic promotion of all video, influencer and partnership editorial content, working closely with Editorial, Partnerships, Social, and CRM

  • Track and update marketing activity calendar, proposal promises, project timelines, media plans and email/communication schedule

  • Stay abreast of relevant market conditions and advancements across marketing platforms, integrating new digital capabilities into all marketing plans

  • Assist and coordinate corporate marketing and regional projects, such as building signage and plasma screen display updates

  • Provide ad hoc project support as needed

Qualifications

  • University degree

  • 2+ years in marketing, ecommerce, partnerships or agency experience; luxury/HNWI experience a plus

  • A balance of strategic and creative thinking with strong analytical skills

  • Calm under pressure, able to prioritize workload and work to multiple deadlines

  • Must be detail-oriented, results-driven and have a proven track record of managing projects and processes

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with clients and vendors

  • Understanding of KPIs and campaign performance metrics across online marketing channels including: Paid (SEO/SEM/Display), Social and CRM

  • Proficiency in Excel modelling, PowerPoint presentation development, and web analytics
