Pega is looking for a talented User Experience designer to join our Technical Sales team. This team supports software sales by designing compelling user experiences out of product demonstrations for potential customer and partners. This position offers the opportunity to interact with UX Architects at Fortune 500 clients and begin, or extend, a career in software pre-sales. This is a role that involves collaboration with team member around the world with a focus on EMEA.
In this role, you will:
Support the design and development of prototypes for potential customers and partners by applying modern and cutting edge user experience design principles
Solve complex UX problems in a way that showcases Pega’s capabilities
Develop comprehensive UI wireframes with Pega tools
Implement branding requirements through the application and manipulation of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
Design solutions to complex UX issues
Discuss Pega’s approach to user interface design with customers tying it back to the business and technical aspects of the solution
Drive thought leadership and best practices for both product demonstrations and the enhancements of the core products

You are a creative problem solver with a background designing and implementing compelling user interfaces and have a solid understanding of UX design principles.
You are comfortable with UI/UX design and web/mobile development, but are looking for a role where you can interact with potential customers and have more of an impact on the business through UX.
Although you might not have experience working as part of a sales team, you consider yourself a “people person” and would like to see your designs have a real-world impact on the next generation of CRM applications with enterprise-level end user communities.
You have demonstrated a drive for results and ability to thrive as part of a collaborative team.
You are a highly creative, hands-on, motivated and collaborative individual with good communication skills and proven experience working with diverse teams of UX architects, business users and technical teams.
Qualifications will include:
5 to 7+ years relevant experience
3+ years web/mobile UI/UX design experience
Exposure and familiar with UX Design methodologies (Design Thinking process/principles)
Mobile design experiences
Experience using mobile & web prototyping tools
Ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work
Proven ability to deliver rapid prototypes
Understanding of Responsive Web Design principles
Interest in participating in the design process for all user-facing components
Experience interacting with a wide range of internal/external users and stakeholders
Ability to handle design criticisms and feedback and to positively apply this feedback
Ability to explain the reasoning behind the design choices based on design principles, human factors, and best-known methods
Excellent communication, interviewing and collaborative skills
Strong presentation skills – capable of speaking in front of a large audience
Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies
Must be able to learn Pega Platform in expected timeframe
Fluent in English
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Web Development or UI Design
Familiarity with the landscape of omni-channel business applications, including CRM, web, mobile, legacy and 3rd party software systems and the key linkages between them
A solid understanding of basic software design principles, best practices and dependencies
Comfortable presenting to both technical, design and business-oriented audiences
Prior experience in a Sales environment
Ability to understand complex data relationships and rules-based systems
Demonstrated polished and professional demeanor
Good knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
Ability to work in French, German, Russian, Dutch or Italian is a definite plus
