As the Demand Planning Manager, your skills and experience will be key to supporting Orica’s S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process with the generation of structured Sales Forecasts. Your role will manage and maintain a comprehensive S&OP process which will be fundamental in driving best in class Planning practices across our EMEA Region. You will partner with cross functional teams in Commercial, Marketing and Manufacturing and Supply to deliver successful product outcomes for our customers. Reporting through to the Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning, this critical role will be responsible for continuously driving increased in Sales Forecast Accuracy, DIFOT, stability in Manufacturing/Supply plans and customer satisfaction.
Main duties and accountabilities will include
Ownership of Sales Forecast models, including review of historical sales, management of statistical forecast parameters (algorithms) and preparation of Sales Forecast plans.
Ensure the models best represent the business complexity and are capable of producing Sales Forecasts as accurate as possible.
Follow and capture market trends that will impact Sales Forecast.
Monitor and leverage information from New Opportunities Pipelines, applying a consistent approach for the incorporation of prospect businesses into the Sales Forecast.
Setup events of interaction with TMs, ABMs and Marketing teams and coordinate sign-off with Sales Forecast approvers.
Focal point for coordination of discussions related to Supply constraint resolution (i.e. Allocations), including preparation of Scenario Analysis and recommendations for the teams that will be impacted.
After SAP R3b be the owner and operator of Demand Planner Profile in SAP, which includes responsibility for input of Sales Forecast in the system.
Represent main forecast variations with rationale for change participating in Regional S&OP meetings.
Aligned with the Region’s business priorities, drive Sales Forecast increase in products and/or territories of special need of improvement.
Provide assumptions for budget and long term (eg. 5 years) planning activities.

Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor degree or equivalent in disciplines such as Engineering, Marketing, Economics, Business Management, Logistics/Supply Chain.
Demonstrable track record in a similar role such as Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Supply Chain Management, Product Management, Account Management, Marketing and/or Sales/Commercial ideally gained from the Mining & Metals Sector
Experience of financial modelling with highly developed numeracy and analytical capabilities
Evidence of business acument with ability to articulate the impact of Sales Forecasts into business results (eg. EBIT) and alignment with strategic objectives
Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with a proven ability to with stakeholders across multiple geographies
PREFERABLE: Fluency in a second language ideally Russian
Travel required: up to a 25% UK & Europe

Salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum depending on experience plus a car allowance of £7,440
