Nielsen Games is looking for a motivated, research-savvy professional to join our growing team based in Paddington, London as we help our clients make decisions and succeed in the dynamic video game industry. The person in this role will be a critical member of the global tracking team by assisting with the analysis and reporting on a large-scale, multinational, brand tracking program for key video game clients.
Key responsibilities are participating in the design and execution of the program, analytical tools development, data analysis and reporting in regards to marketing and communication optimization, competitive threat analysis and business planning. Job responsibilities include understanding client research needs, data analysis, and synthesizing analysis into client ready reports and presentations. Analysts are also involved in internal research and development, industry learnings, and product development. The candidate must possess knowledge of the video game industry.
SPECIFICALLY, YOU WILL:
Leverage Nielsen’s data and technology to help clients solve complex analytical issues
Manage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring reports are completed on-time and as requested, ensuring they are presented in a client friendly and user defined way
Write insightful reports and strategic recommendations using Nielsen tools
Work collaboratively within the team and across Nielsen departments as needed on client research needs
Provide mentoring and support to analysts across the team pulling on your experiences to contribute to a shared learning environment
Summarize complex data sets for the production of client reports
Analyze in-market data, work with data in SPSS
Review data for errors and inconsistencies
Prepare initial client correspondence
Attend client meetings and presentations in person and over the phone
Review and provide feedback during survey development phase
CANDIDATE PROFILE & REQUIRED SKILLS:
We are seeking an experienced Brand Health Tracking and Consulting Analyst with strong interest in consumer behaviour, market research, data analysis and the Games industry. Here are some specific characteristics the ideal candidate will have:

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Strong aptitude in working with longitudinal cross-country data sets. The candidate will use Nielsen’s analytical tools to translate data into actionable business insights. While they will need to understand complex data sets, it is crucial that they are able to explain it in layman’s terms to a general client audience.
Prior exposure to consumer data analysis and brand tracking research on multi country projects is essential. Ideally, the candidate will have worked directly with games manufacturers, publishers/developers or gaming research companies. The candidate will consult clients on their brand health and competitive pressures and needs to be fluent in gaming concepts and language.
Minimum 1 years work experience within data analysis and market research environment - knowledge of syndicated research,brand tracking research and analytics as well as experience with multi-country datasets is essential.
Ability to speak and understand Russian. The candidate will be conducting research, reviewing surveys and consumer data for Russian-speaking territories within the project.
University degree level educated
Games industry experience
Experience with Survey Reporter/SPSS
