New Relic - VP, Enterprise Solutions Consulting (EMEA)

New Relic is looking for accomplished technical sales trailblazer to lead a team of talented Solution Consultants/ Sales Engineers! The successful candidate has a proven track record of building and developing technical teams and has worked extensively in the pre-sales technical/SaaS space. You are technical with great customer skills and know how to work as a trusted advisor to ensure the success of prospects and customers. 

You will define and improve the processes used by the SC team to continue our success, mentoring your team to reach even greater heights. You will lead the team that is responsible for helping customers across EMEA and prospects to understand and implement the technical integrations customers need in order to successfully adopt New Relic.  You will liaise with executives cross-functionally to ensure the Solution Consulting teams are aligned in strategy and are prioritizing and executing on cross-functional deliverables.

  • Lead and drive all activities for our EMEA Enterprise Solutions Consulting team 

  • Lead and manage a team distributed across three regions including managers and scale for growth

  • Partner with Sales teams to strategize how to sell into prospects and customers

  • Work with cross-functional team leaders to align Solutions Consulting strategy across the company

  • Manage recruiting, hiring, team performance feedback, and coaching

  • Provide reporting on sales activities, customer initiatives, and product requirements

  • Support your enterprise solutions consulting team by participating in and leading customer or prospect meetings; engaging other corporate resources as required

  • Conduct weekly and monthly pipeline reviews, meetings and training sessions to ensure ongoing improvement and best practice sharing

Skills and experience:

  • 15+ years of technical sales experience with at least 8+ years experience of people management

  • International experience i.e, EMEA 

  • Successful track record to partner with enterprise sales leaders to drive significant growth

  • Strong track record of working in a customer-facing environment and driving initiatives to improve customer satisfaction 

  • Proven experience in leading and completing cross-functional corporate initiatives

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment 

  • Superior organizational and project management skills

  • Specific experience in Performance Monitoring or related technologies, e.g analytics, and/or big data concepts

  • Excellent communication, critical thinking & analytical skills

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent 

  • Additional European languages beneficial, including German, French, and Spanish
