The Team

We are the Mediacom Business & Tech Search & Biddable team, servicing both centrally executed campaigns in multiple languages as well as coordinating and supporting strategic directions across markets. We are a specialist division of MediaCom focused on both business to business and technology client requirements.

We deliver international solutions, primarily across EMEA, but with some global influence. We also deliver UK-focused solutions for clients, especially for those clients we represent completely within the team.

The team is comprised of a range of client managers, planners, buyers, ad ops and analysts, and has a heavy digital focus. We are relatively self-sufficient on that basis, and can deliver digital solutions from Search to Programmatic to Social. Clients within this division include Dell EMC, Dell, Sandisk and more. This team also provides B2B & Technology guidance for broader agency pitches and strategic advice to clients looking to extend beyond B2C targeting.

We are looking for a Search Team Manager to come and join the growing Execution team based here in London. The right candidate will be responsible for leading the day to day planning and strategy, team management, and optimisation process towards KPIs to deliver client growth, and meeting efficiency targets.

The Search Team Manager will be self-motivated, and able to manage their and their direct reports’ time effectively. They will be operationally proficient and have advanced knowledge of search principles and how the market operates.

They will also have solid knowledge of other media channels, how they fit within the overall media/marketing mix and how they influence search.

Responsibilities of The Role

Responsible for leading the day to day planning and strategy, team management, and optimisation process towards KPIs to deliver client growth, and meeting efficiency targets.

The Search Team Manager will be self-motivated, and able to manage their and their direct reports’ time effectively. They will be operationally proficient and have advanced knowledge of search principles and how the market operates.

They will also have solid knowledge of other media channels, how they fit within the overall media/marketing mix and how they influence search.

This role will be mainly responsible for Dell Commercial in the following aspects:

Team Leadership

  • Collaborate with the Search Associate Director on innovative search strategy, from beta tests to data insights.

  • Oversee the workflow management and training for two direct reports.

  • Share learnings and best practice with the team and wider search community.

External and Internal Communication

  • Communication lead (such as weekly calls and meetings) with the clients, media partners and internal teams (such as the client planning teams) with the support of the Search Associate Director when required.

Search Expertise

  • In-depth paid search specialist experience

  • Up to date with Google Ads and Bing Ads developments

  • Know how to create, work to, and forecast accurate media plans, even when targets may change

  • A strong understanding of other media lines and how it works in conjunction

  • Strongly process driven, from budget management to brief responses

  • Able to effectively incorporate strict compliance guidelines into ad copy communication

Technology and Systems

  • Knowledge of systems such as the Google Marketing Platform (SA360) or Marin Software

  • Savvy lead of automated account management systems and processes (such as ad copy changes, bid management, reporting)
