HP - Business Development Consultant

HP cloud software is transforming the commercial print industry through new levels of factory automation. Launched in 2016, HP Site Flow is powering hundreds of millions of transactions each year and has quickly become the world’s leading cloud production management platform.

The Solutions business is a new team within the Graphics organization. Formed recently, Solutions embraces a startup philosophy and culture. Focused on achieving positive results over short periods, the team is highly motivated, results oriented and fast moving.

The BDM will be responsible for leading HP Site Flow, plus other product, sales and business development activities to Print Service providers across EMEA.

Responsibilities:

  • Create pre-sales materials and configure HP software solutions for demonstration purposes.

  • Create and deliver tailored customer pitches and proposals to senior and executive-level management, walking-through key benefits and solution functionality.

  • Chair sales discussions with customers, guiding them to create a business case for adoption.

  • Strongly influence pricing negotiations with customers, through to close.

  • Upon closing, manage handover to implementation teams for deployment.

  • Engage with marketing staff to optimize sales and marketing materials.

  • Attend trade-shows and conferences to drive sales activity and generation of leads.

  • Self-manage a pipeline and sales lifecycle.

  • Work hand-in-hand with senior HP staff across EMEA and globally to drive sales growth.

You:

  • Are passionate about solution sales, networking and relationship building.

  • Enjoy prospecting for new business, are a strong solution seller and team player.

  • Can illustrate a background in successful software sales.

  • Have experience with proven sales techniques and a sales management process/tool.

  • Have demonstrated your sales ability through quota achievement.

  • Are a self-motivated, highly adaptable and a fast-learner. Prepared to fully manage the sale from first contact to close.

  • Are happy to roll your sleeves up, you have demonstrated a flair for understanding the deeper technical aspects of the solutions you sell.

  • Are prepared to quickly become a recognized industry expert on the HP Solutions product portfolio.

  • Typically, have around 5-10 years of relevant software sales experience.

  • BA/BS/BEng or equivalent practical experience.

  • Ideally have knowledge of print workflows including content creation, pre-press, print, finishing and fulfillment, gained through work in the commercial print industry.

  • Are fluent in English, any other European language is a plus. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills that would support business development activities as well as be used to develop brand awareness across the industry.

  • Ability to work on their own and manage multiple customer accounts in parallel, often under tight timelines.
