Gi Group - SAP Procurement Consultant

Our Global Pharmaceutical client is looking for an experienced SAP Procurement Consultant to work along side the Global and Regional SAP S/4 HANA implementation teams to determine and implement regional procurement needs, including all aspects from specification through to roll out training to deadlines and budget.

Main duties/responsibilities:

  • Represent EMEA region from a procurement perspective in Global and region implementation/ project meetings.

  • Responsibility for management of scope, timeline, quality and budget of procurement solution (e.g. Accenture Life Sciences Best Practice template for SAP S/4 HANA or Ariba)

  • Implement integration, testing and cutover management activities, with appropriate use of Accenture and 3rd party tools for Procurement solution

  • Ensure procurement needs are considered by other Stream Leaders throughout project

  • Develop, monitor and track implementation plan for procurement solution working in sync with global and regional project managers.

  • Develop and obtain sign off to regional procurement needs and obtain management sign off for those needs for feeding into global solution

  • Working with project team ensure regional needs are met either in global solution or in regional developments

  • Working with technical teams ensure procurement needs are translated into adequate technical specifications and prepare associated documentation

  • Ensure accurate development of those needs

  • Determine testing plans, develop/ write test scripts for and implement user acceptance testing

  • Develop training materials ensuring translation as necessary

  • Determine training plans for roll out to users including developing super users using questionnaires to determine success of training. Use follow up training as necessary to ensure all users are adequately trained and competent to move forwards unaided

  • Work with project team to ensure vendor and master data is appropriate and of correct quality

  • Work with project team to ensure any interfaces are considered and handled appropriately

  • Handle Change Management from old to new solution

  • Handle mop up post roll out, e.g. system bugs, outstanding training and documentation refresh.

  • Provide required reporting, e.g. monthly reports or forecast updates of project progress

  • Update SOPs and policies as required for new solution

  • Any other tasks related to procurement solution or as required in the Business Effectiveness (Procurement) team

Qualifications and education required:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent.

  • Project management qualification/ certification (Prince 2/ Agile)

  • Excellent spoken and written English essential

  • Second language preferable (ideally Japanese but French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish beneficial)

Experience required:

  • Demonstrated experience in Procurement with strong relevant experience working on SAP implementation or transformation projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in SAP S/4 HANA and Ariba

  • Demonstrable implementation of multiple procurement systems, ideally in international life sciences from kick off to post-implementation
