fDi Intelligence, a service from the Financial Times, are looking for an ambitious and consultative Sales Executive ideally with Russian language skills. The successful candidate will be selling our innovative GIS Planning products and other associated fDi Intelligence products throughout Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to sell a proven market leading product into an unsaturated market.

fDi Intelligence, a service from the Financial Times, is the largest FDI centre of excellence globally. Specialising in all areas relating to FDI, investment promotion and economic development. Our GIS Planning product is already serving over 17,000 U.S. cities in 43 states by providing real estate, demographic and industry data.

The successful candidate will be consultative in their approach, with experience in subscription sales ideally across business information products. Due to the European focus of the role, any European language skills combined with a willingness to travel will strengthen your application.

Responsibilities:

Cold call potential customers, building long term relationships and pitching utilising WebEx

Visit potential clients, delivering a consultative sales pitch face to face throughout Europe

Quote, negotiate and close sales agreements for our GIS planning products as well as a variety of fDi intelligence products.  

Gather market and customer information and provide analysis on buying trends

Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations, networking for potential sales opportunities

Identify new markets and business opportunities for all of our fDi products

Utilise Salesforce to track all sales leads

Required experience:

Proven consultative, versatile sales experience within Business Information, Databases and/or Software SAS products

Computer literate (CRM, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Gmail)

Willingness to travel

Highly desirable:

Russian language

Understanding of or proven sales experience in GIS products

An understanding of the FDI marketplace
