Expedia - IT Technical Support Tech

ExpediaIT are currently recruiting for a junior IT Technical Support Tech who wants to work in a fast-paced, face to face end-user team.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide IT Desktop support to the relevant EMEA Expedia End-user community, this includes all laptop computing hardware as well as software and peripherals.

  • Be based in the HomeAway London office in Victoria and will be mainly supporting local end-users plus remote IT support to others EMEA offices.

  • Providing support at our walk up desk and being the first point of contact end user issues

  • Lead problem resolution activities in order to get technology incidents and problems resolved.

  • Be expected to take ownership for assigned incidents and problems, and contact required resources both inside and outside the company necessary to resolve the problem, with minimum supervision.

  • Be expected to take part in IT Real Estate projects with active participation in the new Expedia offices delivery in EMEA.

Who you are:

  • You are passionate about technology with a native “Here2Help” approach.

  • Experience supporting both Windows and Mac client Operating Systems and hardware.

  • Curiosity and a desire to learn new things everyday as part of your DNA.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to take ownership of the work assigned, and deliver results timely, reliably and correctly

  • Experience working on small projects and delivering against timelines.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills with a strong customer service orientation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications capable of delivering at a senior level.

  • Working knowledge across all the IT disciplines including hardware, software, network, telephony, video teleconferencing, and connectivity.

  • Ability to establish strong relationships with individuals at the supervisor/team manager level.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in 1st/2nd level Corporate IT support, gained in a multi-site IT operations environment

  • Self-managed and a self-starter attitude
