Your opportunity

As an Anaplan Solution Architect in our EPM Applications team, you will help address the most significant business challenges across our global strategic clients across a range of business sectors.

Joining Deloitte's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Applications team will enable you to combine your high level client advisory skills with our deep technical expertise - all within a high-impact environment. Our EPM practice works with CFOs from large national and multinational organisations to develop enterprise performance frameworks to allow them to effectively plan, measure and drive growth within their business. 

Your role

You will use your knowledge of Finance processes and architecture to design solutions and future products and services to address the Finance function’s biggest challenges and take these to the CFOs of our clients to influence critical decisions and drive the agenda for Finance on the Cloud.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assess and recommend the best of breed Cloud EPM technology solutions to address client needs including the industrialisation of core Finance (and Risk) processes

  • Provide expertise and leadership in Solutions Architecture in the Finance infrastructure and applications space

  • Define the business case for solutions, design the solution to help with prototyping and development, and take solution through to deployment

  • Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud EPM and become a trusted advisor to the CFO and other key decision makers

  • Grow and strengthen relationships with key technology partners such as Anaplan

  • Support business development and pre-sales activities

  • Ability to effectively prioritise, estimate, plan and delegate workload to meet deadlines

  • Being a strong team player

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

Location: London with occasional domestic and international travel

Suggested work pattern: Permanent full-time Your professional experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science (or related software engineering field) and/ or Finance related degree, or equivalent practical experience

  • Anaplan Model Builder Certification or equivalent

  • Proven track record of delivering Anaplan implementations in a complex environment 

  • End to End implementations covering at least 3 implementations (across user stories such as OPEX planning, Workforce planning, CAPEX Planning, Sales Planning etc.)

  • Preferred qualifications:

  • Anaplan Solution Architect Certification or equivalent

  • Experience architecting, developing and/or maintaining production-grade cloud solutions

  • Understanding of Financial planning, reporting and consolidation processes

  • Experience as a Solution Manager or Developer, creating new solutions

  • Demonstrated understanding of the current state of the art for infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment and cloud-based delivery models

  • Comfortable talking about technical issues with business people and business issues with technical people. Able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences

  • Ability to craft a compelling message and tailor it for a given audience. Ability to mix deep technical expertise with simple, everyday language to deliver a story that is memorable and useful.

  • Experience in consulting or professional services

  • Consistently high quality personal and professional standards

  • Advanced MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Other package experience (SAP BPC, Oracle Hyperion, etc) valuable but not essential
