Global Markets has a technical Business Analyst role to own and lead specific projects for the Cash Equities and Electronic Trading businesses. You will be responsible for requirements gathering, designing solutions, full project governance, co-ordination and delivery of software change for Front Office IT projects.

Specialist knowledge is required for this role: a Front Office regulatory background with a deep understanding of MiFID and experience of running and delivering MiFID projects for the Front Office is required. In addition, you are expected to have a thorough knowledge of Brexit’s impact to Equities applications and processes. Future project works will cover FO trading flows and applications including order capture, routing, algorithmic trading, exchange connectivity, trade bookings and associated post-trade processes including trade and transaction reporting. The analyst will be expected to deliver technical solutions for applications using Agora as their state manager so an excellent understanding of Agora, its functions and its state model are very desirable.
This role provides wide interaction with Front Office trading desks, Product Development, COO, Compliance, senior IT management and offers you significant opportunities for ownership and development. The environment is fast paced and dynamic and requires a robust, hard-working, self-starter with very strong knowledge of Front Office Equities who will thrive in a pressured and challenging environment.
Job Duties

  • Elicit, collect and provide high quality business requirements and specification documents covering Cash Equities flows front to back, not just in the context of one system.

  • Facilitate business requirements gathering and scope definition process together with Business Users (including data requirements, report and query requirements, etc.).

  • Liaise with front office users (across London, EMEA, global as required), IT testing and development teams, and third party development teams.

  • Be responsible for the development and documentation of use case scenarios, and review of test cases.

  • Project governance: provide timely feedback on issues, risks, and reporting/ status of all tasks assigned to the Project team, other relevant IT teams, as well as and Business Stakeholders.

  • Ensure that developed applications meet specifications and deliver original business requirements prior to implementation.

  • Understand and document any legal issues associated with requirements and obtain signoff from LCD.

  • Work closely with the technical teams to ensure that detailed designs meet business requirement specs, along with IT’s Key Strategic Themes.

You Offer
Mandatory/Desirable Skills Required. She/he will have:

  • Extensive experience of Business Analysis with strong experience of delivering projects to the Equities business.

  • Strong understanding of Front Office Cash Equity Trading Technology, covering European and Emerging markets.

  • Excellent knowledge of MiFID; experience of delivering a major MiFID project to FO Equities.

  • Excellent understanding of Brexit's impact to Front Office Equities business.

  • Good understanding of the Agora state model and trading flows via Agora
