Community Links are looking for Health Facilitators to help us increase the uptake of bowel and breast screening by contacting patients from GP practices across North West, South West and East London.
Overall purpose of the job
To contact patients, via telephone, who have not returned their bowel screening kit within the last year and support their participation to the screening programme. In terms of breast screening, the purpose is to contact women who have received their breast screening invitation and encourage their attendance to the appointment. The Health Facilitator will follow a script and an Excel monitoring form that gives information on the calls and responses. The telephoning will take place from GP practices in North West, South West and East London.
In this role you will be calling female patients, the majority of the time. Owing to the nature of this work, we can only accept applications from women. This is a genuine occupational requirement, as covered by the Equality Act 2010

Bi-lingual: English with any of the following languages: Hindi, Urdu, Russian, Polish, Arabic, Tamil, Korean
IT literate : Excellent knowledge of Excel

Salary: £10.20 x hour + travel expenses between locations
Reports to: Project Officers
Liaising with: GP practices' staff and patients
Hours: Up to 12 hours per week (will include daytime, evenings and weekends depending on GP practices' availability)
All offers of employment are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check, which is a standard Community Links policy applicable to this post. There is a probationary period of two weeks.
Evidence of right to work in the UK will be checked upon appointment.
You will be employed by Community Links as a sessional worker. Salaries are paid directly into employees’ bank accounts at monthly intervals, payment being made on the 25th of each month.
