Ciena - Senior Human Resources

Ciena is looking for an exceptionally talented Human Resources generalist for the EMEA region. In this role you will be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team, responsible for covering approximately 450 employees across 16 countries.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide frontline support for employees and managers (company policies, employee relations, annual programs)
  • Partnering with Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, L&D, Global Mobility, HRIS, etc.) where required
  • Driving and promoting self-service (Tier 0) to Employees and Managers
  • Reviewing and developing Tier 0 Content
  • Prepare employment contracts and manage the onboarding process for new joiners
  • Process HR paperwork and system updates in a timely manner (eg promotions, transfers, leavers, relocations etc)
  • Input and update data in the HR system, ensuring it remains up to date
  • Work closely with the payroll team to answer queries and ensure accurate processing each month
  • Answer and advise on EMEA employment law issues and queries
  • Partner with HRBPs, legal and finance to manage restructuring activities in the region
  • Be the company representative for the Works Councils in France and Germany
  • Support the development, set up and review of HR policies and documents across EMEA
  • Maintains all HR files and correspondence
  • Assist with benefits reporting ensuring compliance with GDPR requirements
  • Performs general administrative duties as required, including raising POs and assisting with invoice processing for the EMEA HR team
  • Assumes other duties as assigned including project work as and when required

Collaboration with stakeholders: you will be in the center of our regional operation, interacting daily with employees of all areas and levels, from different culture and countries.
