About the Role
The Head of Sales will provide the leadership and strategic director to a team of Relationship Managers and Business Developers, while still maintaining a portfolio of their own clients. This is a regulated sales role providing financial advice to HNW clients. The position will report to the Board and will be based in our London Office with occasional travel to meet clients face-to-face.
Achieve financial goals and elements of the financial plan as well as goals set in terms of client AUM growth, cross sales of investment products (volume and value), and retention of funds and clients.
Set up/led a team of Relationship Managers (RM) and Business Developers (BD) within the context of the organisational vision, provide motivation and empowerment for the team to reach organisational goals via:
Coaching and development under a robust supervisory structure that ensures all business is carried out in a compliant manner and that staff are trained in the core capabilities of - advisory practice, transactions, sales process, compliance, and product and market knowledge
Management of the staff resources to maximise investment product sales, deepen client relationships and AUM growth, prevent attrition, encourage Member get Member referrals, maintain optimum client contact frequency
Working closely with sales team to ensure smooth and effective on boarding of clients
Work closely with Head of Strategy and Product Development to make sure company’s offering is attractive and fits the needs of the existing and potential clients.
Take responsibility to build relationships with key clients and partners that can enhance the future opportunities of the business and generate revenue streams for team members, by exploring and closing out new business opportunities/channels/networks.
Maintain of a proper client relationship system and ensure effective monitoring of activities that will satisfy internal control standards and ensure compliance with all external regulatory requirements in all aspects of work.
What we are looking for
8+ years’ experience in private banking/wealth management in London.
Leadership background and ability to develop sales teams within a banking environment.
Consistent performance of building accounts and growing revenue year on year with an strong transferable book of HNW clients.
CISI Level 4 IAD equivalent and strong knowledge of UK regulations.
In-depth knowledge of financial products and services and financial markets.
Excellent sales and relationship management skills.
Knowledge of Russian language is highly desirable.
