Job Title: Technical Product Manager (Alteryx)
Reports To: Head of Client Services, Product Operations
Location: London, St. Pauls

This will be a key role within the Client Service vision for Product Operations. You will have responsibility for the product management of Alteryx solutions within the UK business whilst maintaining a positive relationship with customers, identifying customer needs and ensuring that the services provided meet those needs.


  • Product ownership of Alteryx solutions

  • Own, prioritize, and maintain the Product Backlog, including definition of features, user stories, acceptance criteria

  • Define, prioritize, and drive realization of the specific product vision

  • Serve as the 'voice of the customer' with delivery teams, representing/reinforcing the customer's perspective throughout the product realization cycle

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, business analysts, developers, testers and others to develop and execute against Product Roadmaps and Release Plans

  • Work closely with customers to understand their business requirements and challenges around data analytics

  • Translate these requirements into a technical solution making use of Alteryx

  • Develop and maintain advanced analytics and other BI solutions using the full suite of Alteryx products (Connect, Designer, Server and Promote)

  • Develop and deliver knowledge transfer and training to the client

  • Displays extensive working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product details and company services offered

  • Offers exemplary customer service, including maintaining customer relationships and monitoring and resolving customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally

  • Regularly audits the work being done by suppliers and the customer service being provided by support teams within D&T (Digital & Technology) to ensure all standards are met and that repair work is carried out effectively, correctly, and thoroughly


  • Computer science degree or relevant commercial experience

  • 3+ years in Product management

  • Experience acting as a Product Owner: Writing user stories, and following the development process through user story acceptance

  • Experience of Alteryx development using Agile scrum methodology (as appropriate)

  • Passion for customers and a demonstrated focus on customer experience

  • Energy, motivation, and commitment to drive to results in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet commitments, build consensus, negotiate resolutions, and garner respect from other teams

  • Ability to work with the team and the stakeholders to continuously improve the quality of the product backlog and everyone's understanding of the items it contains

  • Experience running agile projects using methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFE, etc.

  • A working knowledge of relevant technologies such as:

    • Alteryx

    • MS Stack technology

    • Web / application servers

    • Automation technologies

    • Source control systems – TFS

    • Cloud – Azure, AWS

    • Automated testing


  • Exhibit diplomacy with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Attention to detail - applying quality standards to all tasks undertaken and ensuring that nothing is overlooked.

  • Customer focus - understanding the needs of the internal or external customer and keeping them in mind when taking actions or making decisions.

  • Vendor management of third party suppliers, service management of business users and some training for systems users


  • Ensuring security and control of access to sensitive customer and business data by following procedure.

  • Ensuring the integrity of data across systems and ensuring users follow guidelines on data capture and consistency.

  • Multiple development, test and production environments.


  • Communication and liaison with key business stakeholders, third party vendors, multiple IT teams.


  • Expected to make recommendations for shaping the Product Management landscape.

  • Required to agree priorities with the Head of Client Services, Project Managers, Technical Product Managers and Service Product Managers.


  • Ability to identify gaps in current products and propose workable solutions.

  • Ability to see each product in its wider context and question existing interfaces and work practices and recommend changes.

  • Ability to plan work and actions in order to anticipate challenges before they arise and implement solutions.


  • The ability to manage time and priorities effectively.

  • A willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends when operational requirements dictate.
