Canon - Projector Product Marketing Specialist

To define and project manage the Professional Imaging marketing deliverables to successfully introduce Projector products to the EMEA market.

To provide pre and post-sales technical support to internal and external customers and partners.
Note: This is a technical & product-marketing focused role requiring a good understanding of the product, market & customer environment

  • From within Product Management, work with Marketing, Strategy and Business Operations to deliver the new product introduction and on-going product marketing activity for the Projector Product Range.

  • Work closely with each functional marketing team/channel to deliver the practical marketing mix for product launch and lifecycle.

  • Communicate, advocate and track/report the product launch implementation among all stakeholders - PM, Product Strategy, Content Planning, NSO’s, Marketing Management, Business Operations, Marketing Services, and Canon Inc.

  • Develop & maintain detailed information on the market, technologies, products and competition – to secure: product positioning, marketing activity planning, training & sales budgeting support.

  • Develop and deliver sales and marketing product training, both internally and externally. This will enable effective product sales & marketing across EMEA, while empowering our customers to successfully sell our products.

  • Brief, internal departments on required marketing materials where responsible and technically proof all forms of marketing materials including product catalogues, web pages, sales training packs, press releases and instruction manuals

  • Manage, define & support Canon’s participation in Industry Events. This includes the planning and project management of the event, the setup of exhibition stands, handling of event logistics and being a Canon spokesman to press and industry analysts.

  • Provide information to aid in the preparation of budgets & sales strategies.

  • Support product planning requirements gathering and presentation

  • Provide a pre and post sales, technical support service, to NSO’s & external customers, including system integrators and developers. (This may be on site and will include product training, and support with marketing programs)

  • Test and evaluate the performance of Canon products versus those of our competitors, providing analysis of the results as required

  • Provide marketing support for other Pro Imaging Products Groups as requested.

  • Degree Level in a relevant technical discipline, e.g. Film, Photography, Videography, Engineering, Computer

  • Science, Technical Communications, Projection Systems preferred

  • Fluent in English, other European languages are beneficial

  • Knowledge of the Projection / Video Industry

  • Familiar with project-driven environments, working in close contact with other internal and external teams.

  • Totally proficient in the use of Windows & MAC based relevant software application packages.

  • Excellent communicator – Verbal and written communication skills must be to a high standard; must also have confident presentation skills

  • Knowledge of the Projection / Video Industry
