Working as part of a small but expanding specialist finance team the EMEA Internal Control Department has an exciting opportunity for a skilled internal control specialist. You will be instrumental in delivering an efficient and effective Internal Control program for Canon EMEA amongst the regions you will be allocated. This is a commercially focused, business partnering control team where your future career path will be take up an operational business opportunity through our talent rotation programmme, secondment or promotion into the commercial markets

Perform risk assessment and SOX scoping under guidance of the team lead
Maintain internal documentation tool and provide training and guidance periodically
Create and maintain flowcharts, narratives and other documentation support for all activities
Execute Entity Level Questionnaires, track progress and provide guidance
Lead control framework updates, review self-assessment, perform independent testing, monthly reporting to Canon Inc and management of external auditors
Participate in business and operational audits; report findings, agree remediation plans and track progress
Participate in ad-hoc projects

You will be a qualified accountant with internal audit and/or a SOX background and have US GAAP experience
Have experience of flowcharting and documentation
Have experience of managing remote stakeholders and across culture
You will be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time
You will have a modern approach to control frameworks and systems and be comfortable with using new technology to enable automation where appropriate.
Business English is required, any other European language an advantage
The role requires some EMEA travelling (roughly 20% per year and should be short trips)
