The Analytics & Data Insights role is part of the Digital Operations team and is key in defining web KPIs, delivering the data around the current performance of the marketing site, as well as creating insights for its improvement and delivering those through the optimisation programme and creating regular reports. This role also has an important role to play in supporting the Optimisation team and the wider business units with the data and insights related to different online activities that lead to the website.

As the Analysis & Data Insights Specialist, your responsibilities will include;

  • Analysing and understanding the multiple data pieces/sources, including web analytics, search data, social media, CRM, qualitative data etc, in context to generate questions, explanations and insights for action by the Digital Ops team and business stakeholders

  • Identifying the required reports and data stores to accurately track and interrogate our digital KPIs/objectives and to identify data gaps. Work with the EMEA Analytics Specialist to close gaps, and set up tracking and reporting as required

  • Working with the Digital Ops Team and business stakeholders to identify areas of digital data that are of interest/opportunity for investigation. Investigate identified areas to formulate key data insights

  • Turning insights in potential hypotheses for testing and action. Provide hypotheses in actionable format to the Digital Ops team and key business stakeholders

  • Developing frameworks to support data-driven decision making across our digital channels (including the development of processes and implementation of required tooling)

  • Developing effective and persuasive presentations (verbal and written) and reports for the Digtial Ops team and business stakeholders that clearly communicate data and analytics ‘stories’

  • Working with the BI, Customer Insights team, and BU Analysts to deliver required analytics insights into customer/business-wide insight generation. Leverage data from these teams to support web analytics insights.

  • Working with optimisation toolsets (directly & indirectly) to identify areas to test, run tests, analyse test and deliver ongoing testing schedules

  • Working with personalisation toolsets (directly & indirectly) to identify areas to personalise, run tests, develop and implement rules, analyse personalisation results, make changes as appropriate.

To be successful in this role as our Analysis and Data Insights Specialist, you will have the following skills and experience;

  • Previous, demonstrable experience in an analytics position in a business environment and the ability to derive and present insights from data

  • Previous experience in using and understanding web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Proven experience of translating business requirements into metrics and insights

  • Experience of managing complex projects from inception to delivery

  • Experience of working across EMEA or within an international environment is desirable

Fluent English – other languages are desirable
