Key Responsibilities:

  • Has a direct focus on growing existing and new Facultative broking production - producing business and assisting in the development of sales and marketing strategy designed to cultivate revenue generation opportunities

  • Develops comprehensive new business sales and development plans for identified targeted prospects and existing clients

  • Strong Facultative (FAC) Property market knowledge

  • Drives a strong client service and team leadership

  • Achieves high client satisfaction by providing exceptional service

  • Fosters and promotes a team approach to both internal and external business relationships

  • To communicate with co-brokers, cedants and reinsurers via e-mail and telephone.

  • To process new risks (assessment of all information sent, giving additional questions to be able to present the risk to underwriters, translation of information from Russian into English, drafting MRC and/or a risk submission.

  • To send the ready submission to Continental reinsurers.

  • To broke risks with Lloyd`s underwriters.

  • To prepare all final documentation (slips, signing pages, cover-notes, debit-notes) and to make sure it is duly signed and stamped.

  • To register all placed risks in TAM and in the tracker.

  • To submit premiums to Xchanging and deal with their queries.

  • To advise the Accounting department on any incoming premiums in order to be allocated accordingly and to instruct on Net premiums due to Reinsurers and/or any co-brokerage.

  • To order, obtain apostille and post Certificates of Lloyd`s Syndicates to our co-brokers/ to avoid double taxation

  • To provide our partners with any information/documents required for compliance purposes and to request and collect the same information/documents from our partners required by DIG Compliance.

Skills & abilities

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of commercial property insurance

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with capability to interact with major clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships

  • Excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external clients

  • Entrepreneurial attitude with keen negotiation, business acumen and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter; committed to delivering the highest in client service, quality and results

  • Ability to travel

  • Spanish speaking

Knowledge and Experience

A minimum of 10 years reinsurance broking commercial lines experience, with a focus on property insurance with large facultative property risk

  • Strong organisation and time management skills, able to multi task and manage projects

  • Previous formal or informal experience in managing teams or direct reports

  • Expert with top notch client relationship management capabilities
