Buildburo - Financial Manager and Real Estate Consultant

Prerequisites for applying:

About the company: 

We are a design and build group based in Chelsea, West London. As leading architects, contractors and property developers, we specialize in the renovation and remodeling of fine residential properties in London’s most select neighborhoods.

In addition, we own and manage a medium size portfolio of residential and commercial properties, which we now wish to expand through acquisitions and property development.

About the role: 

We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager, with knowledge of real estate finance for development projects, ideally coming from financial services industry (accounting, consulting, real estate finance or similar backgrounds).

Main activities will include analyzing and streamlining our internal process, financial and managerial optimization, as well as a continuous search for potential real estate investment projects in the UK and Abroad.

The company is looking to expand its activities to the Adriatic coast and acquire property development portfolio with proximity to Porto Montenegro, aimed at Russian and Middle Eastern clients. We therefore seek a candidate with knowledge of the region’s real estate market and local language skills. Also, previous working experience in the Middle East or working with ME clients is beneficial.

The role will be London-based with occasional travel to Montenegro and Serbia, as required.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Analyse and improve the group’s internal processes

  • Build operating and DCF valuation models for our property portfolio

  • Liaising and outlining the merits of Montenegro investment to Russian and ME clients

  • Analyse detailed financial information relating to the potential real estate acquisition opportunities in the UK and abroad and communicate these to the Financial Director

Essential skills and experience: 

  • Language skills: (fluency in Serbian and working knowledge of Russian/Arabic)

  • Good academic record with a minimum 2.1 (or equivalent) BA/BSc degree at top UK university

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Previous experience of financial modelling (discounted cash flows for real estate)

  • DCF cash flow modelling might be tested with a timed case-study project

  • Scenario Analysis for development projects and writing feasibility studies

  • Strong Microsoft excel and power point skills are essential

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to work on own initiative, and as part of a team
