Britannica Business Services - Event Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Russian Speaking Event Manager/Communication Officer to join a dynamic and rapidly growing management consulting company. You will act as a Communication officer responsible for a liaison with our foreign partners, potential speakers and European companies involved or hosting events for our clients. You will support and manage the delivery of international training courses and experience exchange programmes within your portfolio. The environment is busy and challenging and you must be able to work on multiple events ensuring consistency in delivery.

The position is best-suited to a creative, self-motivated and confident individual who is ready to step-up to the challenge, happy to work individually and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research, identify and propose new partners, speakers, consultants and suppliers to the company management to create tailored training courses, seminars and experience exchange programs

  • Cold call potential new partners and suppliers

  • Organize training course and experience exchange programs from scratch

  • Develop negotiation strategies with new potential partners by analysing companies' operations

  • Monitor news and conduct research to detect the latest trends and developments in various industries in order to develop new seminars, experience exchange programs and training courses

  • Build new partnerships with foreign partners and suppliers from scratch as well as improve existing relations

  • Secure high quality speakers, consultants and lecturers

  • Cooperate with the team and suppliers to develop proposals that fully meet clients' needs, requirements and achieve their objectives

  • Prepare drafts of event agendas, experience exchange programs and training courses

  • Develop databases with various contacts of lecturers, speakers and consultants

  • Assist with all organizational issues during various projects and experience exchange programs to ensure customer experience enhancement and delivery of high quality seminars and training programs

  • Contribute to the design, production and effective delivery of high quality proposals to prospective customers

  • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements

  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images and written) for company`s website

  • Assist in ad hoc duties as assigned by the company management/when required

  • Participate in company development and new activities/projects

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have fluent spoken and written English and Russian (a degree in Linguistics or Translation is desirable)

  • Possess attention to detail, good organisational and negotiating skills

  • Have strong multitasking & time management skills - managing the demands of multiple training courses and experience exchange programmes and being able to prioritise the different tasks successfully.

  • Have experience of event management (desirable)

  • Able to maintain clear event related files and keep appropriate records of all communication and certain vital procedural detail.

  • Focused and calm - able to cope with the pressures of multiple deadlines and responsibility

  • Computer literate - confident working in Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
