- Senior Application Support Analyst

As our Senior Application Support Analyst in Supply Chain System, you will be in charge of leading and managing a small team to prevent system problems or any incidents that could disrupt our applications. A strong understanding of WMS and Supply Chain Systems & SQL is a must for this position as well as the ability to demonstrate a level of self-starting, autonomy and ownership in and of the role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing expectations with various stakeholders in the business

  • Ensure all incidents and problems are resolved within our SLA’s

  • Undertake all regular support activities i.e. service requests, regular jobs/activities, content uploads, workarounds and maintenance

  • Proactively review diagnostic data which includes logs, errors files and exceptions to identify potential problems and risks so they can be resolved before service is interrupted

  • Manage all events on the systems, benchmark and trend to identify potential issues continually identify improvements

  • Identify areas of improvement that will increase the team’s performance and provide a better service

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, DBA, performance and development teams to resolve issue/risks in the ‘end to end’ solution

  • Collaborate with a number of 3rd Party vendors in SaaS solution to identify and resolve issue/risks

  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Logistics development and platform teams to assist in the successful transition of work stream projects

  • Work within a live SQL environment ensuring application functionality and business workflows are performing and functional

  • Script writing, cronjob setup and administration

  • Writing Reports using SQL queries

  • Support change management, incident and problem management processes and group wide user communications

  • On call out of hours’ support required as part of a rota

  • Location is based in London, UK, with occasional travel to other sites as required by the role.

Who we’d like:

Technology is a passion of yours especially Supply Chain and logistics related systems. You are strong in identifying root causes and how to resolve them as well as motivating the team to get the best from them.

  • Solid experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); experience with automated WMS systems would be advantageous

  • Solid experience working with Supply Chain Management (SCM) Systems and or Carrier applications

  • Solid experience working with Middleware and financial transactional data

  • Strong Leadership skills

  • Strong MS SQL and Oracle experience, passing knowledge of .NET, ASP, HTML and java Script

  • Working knowledge of management of monitoring solutions – Grafana, Kibana and New Relic

  • Experience of helpdesk call management systems e.g. touch paper, remedy, footprints, ServiceNow
