The PPC team manage global paid search marketing campaigns for all territories, and are responsible for the profitable investment of multi-million pound budgets on advertising campaign across all major search engine worldwide to acquire new customer and re-engage with ASOS customer base. We are professional, expert and data-driven. The team has a high profile, contributing for a substantial part of revenues and for the acquisition of customers globally, and needs talent that can uphold this profile in a credible manner. Our key stakeholder groups include the Exec Board of Directors, other Marketing units, Finance, Global Trading, Retail, Product and Retail teams. The PPC Lead will report into the Head of Performance Marketing and will work as part of the Performance Marketing team to improve our PPC capabilities across all five continents.

The Role:

  • Liaising with PPC agencies and directly with our Search Engine partners to ensure Paid Search campaigns are planned & executed in line with strategy to drive business results across a very wide region that includes all Asia, Middle East and Russia as are of focus + any other territory outside of Europe and North America

  • Maintaining and evolving all aspects of paid search activity in the region, from planning to reporting on campaigns across numerous search engines and markets on an ongoing basis to ensure KPIs are met.

  • Align PPC channels strategy to key growth and acquisition objectives in the region and represent the channels needs and results within any part of the organisation focused on the region.

  • Plan and execute a testing strategy to ensure continual improvement of channel performance, bespoke for the region

  • Identify and explore new opportunities within the Paid Search landscape that are relevant for ASOS in the region, considered the vast fragmentation of search engine, languages and various level of competition in the region

  • Work with rest of PPC team members and other Performance Marketing functions to contribute effectively at ASOS regional objectives within a global framework

  • Education of the wider organisation on the function & importance of Paid Search in the region

Knowledge and Experience

  • Hands on experience in managing large, International PPC accounts, either at client or agency side

  • Deep knowledge of PPC ad formats, AdWords features and bid management tools

  • Experience managing large budgets and delivering against multiple KPIs

  • Demonstrable passion for working in ecommerce with a commercial mind-set

  • Proved understanding of the wider Digital Marketing landscape and its regional nuances

  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders

  • Experience of working either for Client-side with inhouse management of PPC channels or Agency-side for large international clients

  • Experience working for an International Online Retailer or a large “Pure Play” service preferred

  • Educated to at least Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level

  • Fluency in English is required, fluency (speaking, reading & writing) in other languages is preferable (Russian, Arabic, or Mandarin in particular)
