Debtwire, part of Acuris, is seeking an investigative researcher based in London or New York to work with its team of journalists and credit analysts in covering the activities of controlling shareholders of companies in primarily Russia and Ukraine.
In conjunction with Debtwire CEEMEA journalists, the researcher will use public and proprietary sources to identify shareholdings, deals, relationships, lawsuits and other pertinent information.
The Debtwire CEEMEA team provides actionable intelligence for subscribers on situations across Central and Eastern Europe/CIS/Russia, Middle East and North Africa, plus sub-Saharan Africa.
This job requires the ability to analyse a wide range of data spanning business, politics and litigation, and present it in a concise and practical format.
Candidates must be able to read Russian and preferably Ukrainian, write proficiently in English, and be familiar with these countries’ markets and politics. Experience in business journalism or due-diligence research is preferred but not required.
