Acceleration Partners launched their EMEA office in August 2017, since then we have been growing at a rapid pace, expanding our existing Clients into EMEA and bringing on new account managed Clients and projects.
As we continue to grow and develop in the EMEA region we have a need for an experienced Account Director to come in and lead one of our largest client teams in the region. This client is a crucial piece of business for the EMEA region with multiple team members based around Europe.
The role requires a combination of outstanding client service focus, team leadership and coordination. Alongside delivering on client innovation and satisfaction, a key focus will be ensuring team synergies and alignment and looking for areas to improve processes and establish best practices.
The ideal candidate would be based in the UK and would have the ability to work from home; all of our roles are remote working roles.
Top 5 Job Responsibilities:
Provide superior client service, develop and nurture excellent client relationships. Develop and deliver polished high-level presentations and strategy decks via video conference and in person. Maintain very high client satisfaction and retention rates with a Net Promoter score of 90%+. Serve as the last line of defense for nearly any client issue.
Take accountability for ensuring superior account performance. Accountable for overseeing successful client performance by offering innovative initiatives and campaigns that are executed effectively and on deadline.
Contribute to thought leadership of the entire Acceleration Partners affiliate delivery team, by proactively sharing new ideas and leading all-team calls or conversations where appropriate and/or through white papers, speaking at industry conference and publications. Be a contributing member of the Extended Leadership Team and actively display and live by the company core values and vision.
Provide high-level strategic guidance and partnership to clients, including C-level contacts (CEO, CMO, VP of Marketing, etc.). Initiate new campaign ideas, incentives and tactics.
Manage and lead team member(s), supervise activities, manage workloads and delegate projects accordingly. Act as a point of escalation for team members and clients as needed. Deliver management coaching to staff in order to elevate and grow team capability; hiring and motivating A players and managing out poor performers as required.
What Success Looks Like:
By 6 Months… The Account Director has autonomously taken full accountability for the performance and success of the program. They have formed strong relationships with key client contacts and are recognized by the client as the strategic leader and point of escalation. They effectively coach team to get required results without stepping in to do it for them by providing on-going feedback, both positive and constructive. Have demonstrated sound decision making and problem-solving skills. Client Net Promoter Scores are 8+.
By 1 Year… The Account Director has elevated the program further, demonstrating innovation and forward thinking on the account. The client is delighted with the work and sees the Account Director as a key to the success. The team and account efficiency has been maximised and excellent strategic plans and communication are in place to ensure the account is running effectively. Client Satisfaction Scores remain consistent at 8+.

Works independently with minimal supervision
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
8-10 years of online marketing, e-commerce, or affiliate marketing experience required
General understanding of affiliate marketing experience required (direct or indirect channel exposure at agency or inhouse) European affiliate program management is a plus
Proven leadership track record with experience interviewing, hiring, developing, coaching, and performance management of direct reports.
Knowledge of general affiliate tracking methodologies via platform partners (Radius by Impact, Partnerise, etc.) required
Bachelor's degree required
Other European languages are a plus
Ability to travel up to 25%, including to international locations
Advanced Excel capabilities and comfortable with formatting, formulas, customizing reports
The Account Director is a remote, work from home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners (a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm). Ideal candidates will reside in the Greater London Area, however all UK locations will be considered on a case by case basis. Some travel is required for client meetings, conferences, other internal meetings, etc.
