There role comprises 2 core activities:
Responsibility for the monitoring and analysis of key manufacturing variances, and Inventory valuation across a number of plants within a complex tolling environment
Responsible for the monitoring and calculation of revenue recognition (POC) and variances for a range of Systems projects across EMEA.
The Cost Analyst in Pall International plays a key role in providing support and financial analysis, regularly interacting with project managers, business finance partners and other key people. They are also involved in process & systems improvement initiatives.
Monthend close: Ensure that all monthend activities are completed within the required deadlines, Lisaing with key business partners, tolling plants and the COE to ensure that both the P&L (variances) and Balance sheet are an accurate reflection of the current situation.
Project Management: Provide financial support to the Project Managers/Engineers for all Projects within sphere of responsibility. Ensure plans are maintained correctly, Revenue is reported correctly and in accordance with the project plan. Highlight and Investigate variances to foreacast and assist the PM to establish the necessary root cause and corrective actions.
Produce Management reports and information for Management Accounts: Analysis of the monthly Cost of Sales. Control and analysis of the production variances, price variances, overhead over/under absorption, material scrapping, inventory, and key performance indicators.
Standard Product Costing: Support the CO COE in the UK and the Toll Plant Business Partners with any Product Standard costs issues. Maintenance of work centres labour and overhead rates relating to the plants as well as material Overhead rates for Pall International Sàrl.
Annual Budget Process: Participate in the Annual Budget Process supporting the Financial Controller Pall International Sarl & the PASS BT Global Controller setting a robust and correct AOP.
Transfer Pricing: Support, when required the CO COE group in the preparation of the annual Transfer pricing schedules to ensure compliance with the tolling structure. Provide support where necessary that TP’s are set correctly and in accordance with the applicable factors and rates.
General review and maintenance of cost data: Support, when required the CO COE group reviewing current and standard purchase costs regularly and ensure they are correct prior to annual cost roll up. Control and maintain costing fields within SAP. Reflect all significant engineering changes in product costs and transfer prices.
Inventory control: Monthly analysis of raw materials and finished goods inventories, as well as work in progress control and analysis. Obsolescence calculation and reports. Scrap control and analysis. Liaise with Toll plants cost analysts as regards perpetual inventory counting and corrections required.
SOX: Ensure SOX audit requirements are met as regards internal controls and procedures.
Degree level in Finance / Accounting / Controlling
Background in manufacturing reporting and manufacturing systems, ideally in a toll manufacturing structure.
IT/Systems literate : strong knowledge of Excel, knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
Able to work in International environment
Flexible & positive attitude
Degree level in Finance / Accounting / Controlling
Severla years experience in similar role.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
Worked in a similar size organisation.
Experience working in international environment
Job will require some European travel.
