IMI Switzerland - Business Development Executive

Applications are invited for a full time Business Development Executive and/or Coordinator to commence as soon as possible at the International Management Institute (IMI) near Luzern, Switzerland. The candidate must be fluent in English and Russian.

The role primarily requires the appointee to recruit students to IMI from the Russian and ex-CIS countries.

The following are some of the specific responsibilities the Business Development Executive and/or Coordinator must fulfil as part of his/her duty:

  • take a leading role in student enrolment and follow up on direct leads and applications, from pre-defined locations worldwide;

  • ensure the recruitment target of students from the pre-defined locations is reached;

  • handle enquiries and correspondence from/with potential clients and students;

  • follow up and manage leads and push them through the pipeline with the aim to convert them to applications;

  • organise and attend seminars educational fairs, seminars and road shows in pre-defined countries ensuring they remain within budget;

  • maintain and build relationships with articulation schools, thus promoting IMI as a transfer opportunity;

  • efficient data input, management and follow-up of direct enquiries and applications;

  • follow-up on all contacts/leads and input/update details in IMI’s CRM system;

  • assist with the organization of Open Days on campus and take an active role to meet visitors on campus and organize show-rounds as requested; and

  • be able to propose new, creative marketing/sales activities in order to increase student enrollment and raise brand awareness in the relevant locations.

Overseas business trips in the relevant markets would be required for approximately 12 weeks a year.

Applicants should have:

  • Able to travel overseas for marketing assignments;

  • Able to prioritise workload effectively;

  • Excellent English and Russian skills are a must, both spoken and written. Other languages are a plus;

  • Attention to detail;

  • Relevant experience in a similar marketing position;

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed targets.

  • Ability to multi-task, flexible with good organizational skills;

  • Excellent administrative, interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Thoughtfulness when dealing with supervisors, students, staff and external stakeholders;

  • Able to work independently and proactively;

  • Negotiation skills;

  • Cooperation and team spirit;

  • Friendly and energetic. Enjoy meeting new people, giving presentations, and answering questions about the school

  • Impeccable grooming; and

  • Strong IT skills
