General Electric - Project Management Intern

Role Summary:
The internship position is placed in the Site Management team of the Construction & Commissioning department which executes projects in the gas power business. You will assist the Project Construction & Commissioning Management to accomplish tasks as listed below but not limited to:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Financial Project Controlling - cost review and forecast, budgeting and granting budget compliance

  • Preperation of review meetings with upper management

  • Keep record and track of any project-related documents and report within the appropriate database

  • Communication and coordination meetings with GE entities of different regions and countries

  • Manpower planning for ongoing projects

  • Preperation of documents for upcoming projects

  • Optimization of processes

  • Data Base Management

  • The position is office based, A business trip to the construction site may be possible

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Engineering studies (Bachelor/Master) in a relevant technical subject or equivalent knowledge or experience

  • You are in the advanced stages of your studies in Engineering and Management (Bachelor: > 120 CP or Master program)

  • You are fluent in English and have good communication skills (Further language skills are a plus, particularly German, Spanish or Russian)

  • You have strong analytical and result oriented skills

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • You enjoy responsibility and you would like to work in a multicultural environment Tableau

Desired Characteristics:

  • Interest for project control and project management within an EPC environment

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skill

  • Knowledge in Primavera P6 is appreciated
