What is the position about

As part of the Cargill Contract Desk team, you will be responsible for the review of all issued contracts to be presented to counterparts and for the drafting of new templates to be used on new flows, commodities and/or with new counterparties.

You will work in close contact with traders, instructing and advising them on contract terms, with Trade Execution colleagues, with counterparties within or outside Cargill, as well as with brokers for the final negotiation of the terms and with the Legal Team seeking advise and flag inconsistencies and potential issues.

In order to  be successful you would need to develop and maintain solid relationships with customers, brokers, legal counsel, credit risk and trade execution teams in order to effectively perform your tasks.  

In addition you will be called to Identify and propose process improvement opportunities to meet industry best practices and optimize internal processes.

What you will bring to Cargill (Required)

  • Bachelor or University degree

  • At least 5 years of experience in Agri Commodities contracts terms and Trade Execution  (wheat, maize, vegoils, beans, meal), especially from Eastern European origin. 

  • Attention to details

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team; 

  • Proactivity, self-motivation, efficiency, accountability, problem solving attitude, stress resistance,  resiliency   

  • Fluent in English and French

  • GAFTA and FOSFA knowledge

What you will bring to Cargill (Preferred)

  • University degree in Degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, International Relationship, International Trade or related fields.

  • Fluency in Russian
