Provide project management support to evaluate organic expansion and M&A opportunities, and execute approved capital investments.

Role best suited for entrepreneurial candidates who wish to broaden beyond traditional banking, consulting or a finance environment and join a vibrant commodity trading house.

Your challenges
Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and business development

  • Review strategic options for existing businesses, entry into new geographies and new activities

  • Conduct mapping exercise to identify, evaluate, screen and structure potential growth opportunities

  • Acquisitions process management

  • Lead or participate in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions activities (including divestments)

  • Design and coordinate due-diligence teams composed of internal specialists and external advisors (e.g. investment banks, consultants, transaction services providers, legal advisors etc.)

  • Assess key financial aspects of the proposed transaction developing valuation models for analysis of the deal economics

  • Maintain communication with counterparties, prepare pitches and presentations, offer letters etc.

  • Manage the internal approval process of capital investments and acquisitions by preparing briefing documents, project applications and presentations, detailed financial and risk/reward analysis, and final recommendation for management

  • Maintain awareness of competitor activities and market transactions

  • Build relationships with broader industry and financial community to maximize investment opportunities


Your skills
Skillset required:

  • University degree, MBA or other post graduate financial qualification would be an advantage

  • 5-8 years maximum experience in relevant post-graduate experience in M&A / Investment Banking

  • Strong transactional background with high volume required.

  • Strong execution of transactions required.

  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, maintain objectivity and perform in pressured environment

  • Experience in financial modelling, project analysis, controlling, business operations and/or operational management

  • Experience in M&A project management, deal structuring and negotiation

  • Flexible time management, ability to manage conflicting schedules and priorities, willingness to travel (up to 30-40% of time)

  • Fluent in English, other languages (i.e. German, Russian, Arabic) would be a distinct advantage
