We are looking to appoint a Project Engineer within the area of Drive Applications. Depending on your level of experience, you will be responsible for planning, designing, engineering, commissioning, and testing electric drive systems. This will include customized products fitted to mills, high-pressure grinding rolls, conveyors, fans and pumps used in the minerals processing industry. Design or co-design technical solutions for electric drive systems, including clarification and coordination of all relevant engineering aspects during project execution
Conduct cost streamlining and ensure project targets are met in full, in addition to carrying out inspections and performing factory acceptance tests
Oversee or assist with commissioning and maintenance of drive systems at customer sites worldwide, including troubleshooting
Issue and review technical specifications and data sheets, project documents, and customer documentation
Work in close cooperation with Team Leader for the purpose of co-managing costs, schedules, and quality, thereby improving profitability and ensuring customer satisfaction
Ensure provision of qualified technical support for Sales, Product Development, and Service in pursuit of excellence
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical and/or Automation Engineering; emphasis on Power Electronics/Drive Technology essential for candidates with no prior work experience
Three to five years' experience in the area of drive technology (or graduate without work experience for junior role)
Technical knowledge of drive system engineering as well as experience relating to commissioning and service activities
Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multicultural environment
Strong command of English at a technical/engineering level (both written and spoken), preferably complemented by additional language skills (e.g., Spanish, Russian)
Willingness to travel on global commissioning and service assignments to remote sites (25-50% of working hours and up to several weeks per assignment)
