Market Job Description

An opportunity has arisen in our International Core Technology group for an experienced Application Software Engineer with a strong appreciation of international regulatory reporting. The role requires analysis, development (e.g .ETL, SQL SP, unix scripting, Java), vendor management as well as technology application management. Interaction with business partners, vendors and peers will be required to ensure the successful integration of our projects.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent time management and communication skills, the ability to adapt to changing priorities and be able to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines.

As one of the senior engineers for the GRACE applications, this team member should have a good understanding of international regulatory reporting using the OneSumX application from the vendor Wolters Klewer Financial Services. A candidate will be required to have experience with Informatica (ETL), SQL Stored Procedures development, Autosys (JIL) scripts, unix/windows scripting, Java, VB scripting. This team member will also be responsible for the technology management within the GRACE application portfolio as it relates to the systems / applications within the international wholesale enterprise.

In addition this team member will:

  • Help manage and communicate the GRACE application’s technology platform status, project pipeline and development priorities

  • Design and development of the various GRACE applications, including unit testing, which would also include the participation in the adoption and evolution of high-quality code development standards.

  • Assist with technical design documentation based on business functional and non-functional requirements, then work with other members of development teams to socialize and update design.

  • Create and review development estimates from development teams with senior management and actively seek clarification and verification as appropriate

  • Update and complete documentation, procedures and user guides.

  • Understand BCP, quality assurance, information security and compliance requirements and analyze changes for risk to the environment.

Market Skills and Certifications

  • Established experienced of application development and implementation experience

  • Highly experienced in SQL development

  • UNIX/Linux experience

  • Autosys (JIL) scripting experience

  • Banking industry experience

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

  • Knowledge and understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Familiarity and experience operating in an enterprise environment using formal procedures and policies required for escalation and outage resolution.

  • Strong documentation skills using tools such as Word, Excel, Visio and Enterprise Architect.

  • Wiki markup language or MS-Sharepoint.

  • Well organized and proficient with details.

  • Self-directed and motivated.

  • Able to navigate through a rapidly changing business and technical environment.
