As a member of a very busy team, you will manage technical data for new and existing products, ensuring that accurate and timely information is supplied to the customers, R&D, manufacturing and commercial teams. You will provide training for more junior members of the team. You will take on regulatory projects as required. Support and maintain “best in class” service for Kerry customers that reflects business needs and supports group policies.
Generate and manage technical documents (accurately and to tight time scales)
Product Specifications (Standard and Customer Specific), Allergen/Intolerance Data, Nutritional Data, Ingredient Declarations
Develop an understanding of Food product labelling requirements,
Develop an understanding of European, Middle East, Africa and Russian Food Legislation.
Develop an awareness of Food Safety Alerts Systems and implications.
Develop an awareness of GMO Legislation, Health and Nutrition Claims Legislation, Organic Legislation.
Develop an Understanding of suitability checks for raw materials, e.g. Halal, Kosher, RSPO etc.
Be familiar with Food Industry structure Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Liaise closely with other internal departments.
Maintain awareness of all proposed and pending new food regulations.
Remain aware of all health and safety issues relevant to the job
Remain fully flexible to meet business requirements
Act as a key technical contact for identified customers, with responsibility to maintain and develop relationship with customer
Coordinate response to customer specific regulatory documentation.
Advise on issues impacting the industry.
Obtain essential skills in order to coach or conduct training of colleagues as required.
Support development of new products in accordance with customer, regulatory and industry requirements.
Take on more responsibility in projects related to the Regulatory department.
Translation of key regulatory documents into French.
Qualifications and skills
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science or related discipline
Minimum 2- 4 years of related experience
PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience in SAP and Optiva systems an advantage
Fluency in English and French are critical to this role
Able to work accurately and quickly in a fast moving environment
Able to work on your own initiative and pay attention to detail
Accuracy and organization skills
Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
Excellent Communication skills
