Citi - Wintel Technical Business Analyst

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to join a team working for one of the world's largest Financial institutions in support of Markets and Security Services systems development.

Working within Custody Technology there are a number of key applications which service clients across all Citi business areas. Each application has a distinct and vital purpose in the daily collection, manipulation using business rules and distribution of business critical information on a global scale.

The CCAS Wintel application suite, for which this position is available, comprises a number of applications, but principally Securities Market Interface, Nexus and Securities Front End. Together, these systems are involved in the trade lifecycle management and instruction processing for settlement of investor client trades, and associated activities such as reporting and asset servicing.

We are currently looking for a talented, and ambitious business analyst in Dublin to work with our operational stakeholders in Settlements and Asset Servicing teams. Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate top-class collaboration and leadership skills, to join a team that is self-organising and dynamic.

Responsibilities

  • Function of a BA is to be the first Development point of contact on projects and Non-project items
  • Bring clarity to the business requirements and work with developers to produce Level Zero estimates
  • Complete handover of agreed project deliverable items (BRD/FRD/UAT plans etc) to a project manager or leader
  • Lead analysis and testing effort for complex projects spanning multiple business or technology areas
  • Provide analytical perspective to the business throughout the SDLC process

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Business and Functional Analysis experience
  • Experience in writing and refining user requirements
  • Negotiation – ability to agree a solution that will meet the business problem
  • Experience in working within a dispersed team structure
  • Experience of working in a demanding and results driven, time critical environment
  • Flexibility in working with individuals and teams across multiple time zones
  • Ability to work on own initiative (self-starter) and within a tight knit team
  • Knowledge of global/direct Custody operations and advantage

Essential Skills:

  • Business and Functional Analysis experience
  • Experience in understanding user requirements
  • Experience in designing system solutions to meet business requirements
  • Experience in working with onshore/offshore team structure

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or two years relevant industry experience with proven track record.
