Key tasks & activities

Business Review & Performance Tracking

  • Business analysis and management presentations (e.g. European QBRs)

  • Brand & country specific analysis

  • Forecast alignment with IBM & countries

Alignment with countries, SBU’s, other BUs (e.g. Cisco), centralized teams (operations, marketing, …)

  • Strategic alignment with brand leaders, sales teams

  • Information and best practice sharing with countries

  • Country support for local QBRs / IBM meetings

Strategy & Business Development

  • Build and foster IBM relationships on European level (and locally as appropriate)

  • Participate on strategic / brand specific IBM events

  • Ongoing training to understand the product portfolio and focus areas

  • Give input for European Business Plans on assigned brands / products

  • Knowledge and understanding of Growth Initiatives

Programmes & Plays

  • Understand in depth all IBM programs and incentives

  • Understand the IBM certification requirements / process

  • Summarize and simplify content from IBM programs and incentives

  • Program modelling and risk analysis.

Processes & System setup

  • Focal point of contact for internal and vendor related requests (e.g. cross-country projects; escalations)

  • Define & raise process / tool enhancements / requirements with IBM

  • Optimize processes in close collaboration with sales, IT and purchase team (e.g. efficiency projects)

  • Operational guidance and support (e.g. during integration; onboarding of new employees)

Required profile / skills

  • +5 years experience in IT channel distribution (Channel, Vendors and Competition)

  • A knowledge of product and technology portfolio (IBM Systems & TSS)

  • Strategic Planning and Analytical Thinking capabilities

  • Excellent communication and Collaboration skills

  • Relationship Building and influencing sales teams

  • Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Project Management Skills

  • Working independently

  • Working under Deadline pressure

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

  • Experience of SAP R3 and Business Warehouse would be an advantage

  • Proficiency in English
