Myelo Therapeutics - Business Process Manager

Myelo Therapeutics GmbH develops innovative treatments in areas of high unmet medical needs. Our lead compound prevents Chemotherapy- and Radiation-induced Myelosuppression, the most common and most serious side effect of anticancer therapy. Myelo Therapeutics was founded 2013 by a group of experienced life sciences serial entrepreneurs. It was selected 2014 as one of the “Top 40 High Tech Ventures of the East”. The company has offices in Berlin and Dresden, Germany.

You will manage the operational business processes of a venture capital backed scientific start-up. Supported by our external service providers, your responsibilities include managerial and financial reporting, human resources management, management of public subsidy grants, as well as administrative support of the Myelo team.

You are a good team player and comfortable working in a high-energy and high quality work environment. You have a good sense of service and an eagerness to learn new things. The standards you set for your work results are high, whether it is a strategic analysis or an administrative task. The ability to communicate well in Russian is a plus, but not a must for this position.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Manage purchase to pay processes (invoices, salaries, expenses, etc.).

  • Provide our external accountant with the information for monthly closing.

  • Generate monthly managerial accounting information and the monthly rolling forecast of the company.

  • Communicate effectively with shareholders and investors, from operational topics to shareholder meetings.

  • Report to German/EU/US institutions that provide subsidy grants to Myelo and ensure on time receipt of those subsidies and compliance with subsidy grant regulations.

  • Manage HR processes (onboarding of new hires, vacation planning, team meetings, team events).

  • Last but not least: provide administrative support of the Myelo team. Ensure everything runs smoothly, from contract signing to office supplies, such that administrative challenges don’t slow us down.

  • Management of a Business Process Administrator in the Berlin office.

Your profile: 

  • Hands- on experience in managing the abovementioned topics, ideally in a start-up setting.

  • Completed vocational training (Berufsausbildung) or university degree in business administration or a related field.

  • Very good command of written and spoken English and C1 level of German.

  • Experience in using MS Office applications.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Friendly, open proactive communicator.

  • Hands-on and motivated to do the interesting, as well as the necessary tasks.

  • Ideally a good command of the Russian language.
