Intel - Software Performance Testing

This is a unique working student (m/f/d) position in a Europe-wide team of Software Application Engineers who support leading software customers targeting the latest and future Intel Client platforms and technologies.

Your work:

  • Mainly but not limited to 3rd-party Windows software performance benchmarkingincluding data-generation, -visualization & -interpretation

  • Report outs as well as methodology optimization

  • Designing, implementing and performing test setups involving the latest and upcoming Intel hardware components (CPU, GPU) and from our Engineers optimized 3rd-party software products

  • With sufficient skills, experience, and aspiration you will be able to participate in new software development and optimization projects

Must Haves:

  • Studying towards a degree in computer science, information technology, electronics engineering or any similar scientific or engineering discipline

  • Desired Windows administration skills: OS installation, account management, network connectivity OS, driver, and other software component installations

  • Working knowledge of Windows* operating system is required, Working knowledge of Linux*/UNIX* family operating system is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written English skills

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in planning and execution of software projects, as well as in software testing, benchmarking, analyzing, and optimizing is an additional strong plus

  • Profound knowledge in computer architectures, OS fundamentals, and software optimization techniques general understanding of (Intel) Architecture, or another processor, SoC, or DSP architecture are expected

  • Communication and presentation skills in front of technical audiences is a strong plus

  • Experience in programming in C/C++ is a strong plus

  • Experience in modern scripting tools, such as Javascript*, HTML5, Python*, Perl*, etc. is a plus.

  • German and/or French and/or Russian language is a plus
